Joshua Hyman, MD, Receives "Patient Choice Award" from American Registry
June 15, 2010 – Joshua Hyman, MD, associate attending at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York-Presbyterian and associate professor of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons was recently presented with an American Registry "Patient Choice Award." The award reflects the exceptionally high praise that Dr. Hyman received through online feedback from his patients.
Every month, more than 40,000 patients across the United States rate various components — bedside manner, doctor-patient face time, degree of follow-up, etc. — and give opinions regarding their doctor experiences. Over the course of 2009, these patient reviews totaled in the hundreds of thousands. Of those who receive rave reviews, only physicians with near perfect scores have received the "Patient Choice Award." In 2009, only 6% of doctors have been voted by their patients to receive this honor.
Dr. Hyman specializes in pediatric orthopedic surgery. His areas of clinical interest include hip disease and dysplasia, complex pediatric spinal disorders (scoliosis), limb lengthening and deformity, club foot and other foot deformities, cerebral palsy and neuromuscular disease, fractures and sports injuries.
